| JOBS FOR EACH TEAM CAPTAIN |

| 1. To help those people who are Captains for the first time, we have listed below the various jobs, which cover the duties expected of them by the League. If these are kept to then, extra work on the Officers of the League should be reduced considerably. |
| 2. Ensure that you have the telephone numbers of each member of your team |
| 3. Ensure you keep the handbook safely, as the centre pages have the details you will need to contact other teams in your Club and opposing Clubs |

| FOR THE HOME TEAM CAPTAIN |
| 1. During the week prior to the match, you should have contacted your players, and received confirmation that they can play. |
| 2. You should confirm by phone a few days in advance of the match with the opposing Captain – the name and number in the Handbook – ensure they know the start time and the venue |
| 3. You will need an adult present – who will it be? |
| 4. Do you know who is to open up and then lock the premises? |
| 5. Your team should be there 30 minutes in advance to help set up and practice. The opposition is to have 15 mins. practice before the start of the match. |
| 6. Draw up a rota with the members of your team on who will supply the biscuits and squash on each home night. |
| 7. Ensure you have match balls and scorecards. |
| 8. Scorecards should be posted the day after each match to the Match Secretary |
| 9. If the venue is unavailable or for any other reason you seek a postponement, inform the opposing Captain and match Secretary, at least 24 hours before the match. |

| FOR THE AWAY TEAM CAPTAIN |
| 1. During the week prior to the match, you should have contacted your players, and received confirmation that they can play. |
| 2. Transport – ensure who is driving, who is taking you and where the venue is. |
| 3. When and where the players meet. |
| 4. Ensure you arrive at the venue 15 mins before start time – for knock up practice |
| 5. Check the start time of the match - shown in the Handbook |
| 6. A team of Juniors cannot be left if only one adult is present. Check with the opposing Captain . |
